Trusty’s interactive homeguide

Every room in your home plays a crucial role in your daily life. Explore our home guide to discover how Trusty can help make each space safer and more comfortable.

1

Room 1

Living Room

Whether you call it the living room, the family room, or the tv room – chances are you spend a lot of time in this part of the house. Simple changes can make big impacts.

Here’s what to be cautious of in the living room:

  • Tall furnishings
  • Exposed cords
  • Area rugs that bunch up
  • Not enough lighting
2

Room 2

Bathroom

A room you should be able to rest easy in… but the bathroom can pose more risks per sq ft than any other room in the house. The combination of the higher chance of wet surfaces  + sharp furniture corners + tight spaces = extra caution!

Bathroom no-brainer:

Toilet paper holders and towel bars that double as reinforced grab bars. Ooo la la!

3

Room 3

Bedroom

The bedroom is the simplest room in the house to make truly safe. Like every other room in the house – a clean walkway and adequate lighting go a long way, but this is our biggest bedroom rule:

Designate a spot to charge and store your most used, portable electronics – think cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc. Make sure the cables can remain in this designated spot and be stored out of the way.

4

Room 4

Kitchen

An accessible, highly-functional kitchen is essential at every stage of life, yet the inherent nature of this space can pose mounting challenges unique to each person.

Our biggest single reccomendation and buzz-word for the kitchen is pullout drawers. Pull out everything!

  • Cabinetry pullout drawers
  • Heavy appliance pullout drawers
  • Refrigerator pullout drawers
  • Oven pullout drawers
  • Dishwasher pullout drawers
  • Trash & recycle pullout drawers
5

Room 5

The Main Entrance

Exterior entrances should have the following overarching goals:

  • As few steps as possible
  • A clear, smooth pathway
  • Well-lit

Entrances are the easiest place in the home to make a significant positive change quickly. This is where smart appliances really shine – from smart lighting to no-key door locks to video doorbells – Trusty can help.

1

Pick & purchase a plan

3

Home maintenance

A Trusty maintenance person will arrive in the scheduled window of time.

We have put together what we deem as the must-have monthly and seasonal maintenance fixes.

Each home is different and we will work with you to address any concerns you may have that are specific to your home.

4

Trusty is on it

After scheduled maintenance visits, if any extra work is needed elsewhere in or around your home, your Trusty technician can provide you with a quote.

If Trusty can’t fix it, any subcontractors we use are vetted for best AIP practices, and we will handle all estimates and work on your behalf.
